KATHRYN MAY LATONI
Co-Founder
Kathryn is the co-founder of Essence To Crux Theatre, alongside Kallie Robinson. The two women not only attended the same college, but also worked on several projects together including an original piece directed and written by Kathryn, Changing Tides. Aside from writing and directing Changing Tides, Kathryn’s primary passion is scenic paint. Some of Kathryn’s favourite experiences as Scenic Charge include One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Odd Couple. When she is not working in the theater, Kathryn teaches at Artios Academies of Gwinnett. She is also the Assistant Director for their Jr. Drama Club and Producer for their High School Drama Club. She has a love and passion for theatre and brings that same passion to the next generation.
KALLIE ROBINSON
Co-Founder
Kallie is the co-founder of Essence To Crux Theatre, alongside Kathryn May Latoni. Kallie fell in love with theatre early in life and went on to pursue a B.A. in Design and Technical Theatre from Piedmont College in Demorest, GA. There she fortified her stage management skills with productions such as Sweet Charity and Little Shop of Horrors, among others. Since undergrad, Kallie has gone on to stage manage professionally with companies such as North Georgia Theatre, Brigit St. Brigit Theatre, The Rose Theater of Omaha, and Unto These Hills of North Carolina. Aside from stage management, some of Kallie’s favorite experiences have included assistant directing One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and designing props for Hush: An Interview with America. Kallie has a deep appreciation for every aspect of theatre, and she thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with her follow artists.
